Our Story

It all started with flower mazes and mud pies.

In 2017, the dream of our own flower farm began to take root—a space filled with beauty and belonging, where flowers weren’t just grown but shared. So when a small opportunity bloomed here in Colorado Springs, we took a deep breath and jumped in, feet first.

Petal Lane Flower Farm is still in its early seasons, but every petal, path, and planting is full of hope. We’re so glad you’re here for this beginning. We can’t wait to grow together in the seasons to come.

“Petal Lane Flower Farm is just beginning its journey—but every petal, path, and planting holds so much hope.”

Meet Kate

Hi, I’m Kate—the owner and head farmer here at Petal Lane. I’ve been digging in the dirt since I could walk.

Some of my earliest memories are of getting blissfully lost in my great-grandmother’s flower beds and making mud pies next to my grandma, who taught me the fine art of weeding. By age ten, I was growing vegetables with my dad—and from that moment, the seed was planted (quite literally!).

In between my gardening adventures, I became a graphic designer, but the garden always called me back. I spent summers working in plant nurseries, designed backyard gardens for family, and kept humble plots thriving while living overseas in New Zealand and Ireland.

This new chapter is about trading screen time for soil, reconnecting with nature, and rediscovering slower, more intentional ways of living. These things are at the heart of who I am—and I can’t wait to share them with my local community.
